I recently picked up 2 fish for my tank. I was out of town when I got them so I paid for them on Friday and they moved the fish to a different tank to hold them until Sunday.

Well on Sat someone traded in a fish and someone put that fish in with mine and it whopped some butt. The P. Johnstoni that I got isnt looking so good...swimming at a 45 and all the skin on its lips was removed along with busted fins. But this other guy isnt as bad but his fins got jammed up pretty good. I am wondering if the fins will be deformed when they grow back or will it be fine. If I see that its growing back in deformed...can the fins be trimmed with scissors to give it a nice clean starting point to grow back in straight?

This fish was sold to me as a Mylochromis Ericotaenia pretty cool...never seen one before...after some reading they are kinda rare I think.

There is one spot that I worry about...top fin biggest gap on the bottom. Seems to not be just split but missing one of the rays. Didn't know if thats going to make it come back crocked lol

PARTTTTY TIME!!!!! I want my drinks now !:D that is cool bro i am glad it did...

it will grow back. as long as its not torn down to the nub it will usually grow back..

Thanks!

What about this guy...his lips are white because all the skin came off. You can kinda see it flappin in and out. Fins and body damage...back end looks like it wants to float up to me...always seems to be on a 45. Still easts tho....

I had 2 JD females that would really have it out with each other until I separated them.

At one point the less dominant lady just had gotten so bad I didn't think she'd make it. I put her into a separate tank and just a few weeks later she looked pretty much back to normal.

So don't worry if she can make it back, I'm sure yours will as well.
