Will My Glass Smash

Hi All,

This may seem a stupid question but I am just being cautious... I have a metal Halide (2 x 150w) that I used to use on one of my tanks... I was thinking about using this on my new tank which has glass sliders... I was wondering if I sat this on top of the glass sliders would the heat smash the glass sliders? I know these things get quite hot!

Any advice appreciated.

Shouldn't be an issue at all. As long as it doesn't touch any plastic and cold water isn't put on the glass.

possibly. use tempered glass to be safe.

I wouldn't chance its a little bit risky and the condensation would bake very quickly on your top .
