Have you tested your water?
No
If I did not test my water...
...I recognize that I will likely be asked to do a test, and that water tests are critical for solving freshwater health problems.
Do you do water changes?
Yes
What percentage of water do you change?
21-30%
How frequently do you change your water?
Every two weeks
If I do not change my water...
...I recognize that I will likely be recommended to do a water change, and water changes are critical for preventing future freshwater health problems.
I just bought a premium male betta from petsmart couple days ago. It is still very young but after looking closely it looks like its tail is split. Do you think the tail will fuse together as it grows or should I try to get another one?

Thank you.
I know fins heal on their own but this one was too deep which get me wondering.
Yea, they just created them few months ago. It sounds very unnatural but bettas themselves are selectively bred species

I err on the side of artificial genetic modification for our entertainment, but that aside only time will tell on the fin

Not into the glo fish deal. That being said we have a red tetra and a "galactic purple" tetra with very billowy finnage. I must admit they look pretty cool under blue light and remind me very much of bettas. Pretty tough too surprisingly.
