Will my peacock eel eat my cardinals?

Just as the title says. I have a peacock eel I want to introduce to the 110, but I don't want him eating my cardinals, which I have 50 of in the tank. If he won't eat them, I will be adding him soon. The tank is a 110 planted with play sand substrate.

Depends on how big he is. An adult peacock (9"+) will likely eat the cardinals.
