I am selling almost all off my fish and starting again and just want to see what you guys and girls thought about it.

So far I have a giraffe catfish that I'm keeping, a dat that I'm not sure if I should keep or not? A juvi CK and 2 juvi p.bass.

In the hopefully very near future I will definitely be adding an ATF either a vittatus or goliath

Hoping to add a fire eel eventually and when i'v grown everything out a bit I was thinking tigrinus/juruense catfish.

The tank will be minimum of 500g and I have to option of building a much bigger 1 in the garden if needed, i would estimate the biggest I could build would be 2000-3000g but thought I would start with 500 lol

Any thoughts on problems? Or additions that would work well? Or anything else you can think of :)

I can't see the ATF working with those guys... I know they tend to be pretty aggressive but I've never kept one so I can't give you a really good opinion. But seeing that you're in England I know the weather gets cold there and money to heat a couple thousand gallon pond is very expensive so I'd take that into consideration as well!. good luck :)

Yea i'v done a lot of research on ATF's and in the right set up they are not all that aggressive, its more the other fish getting on that worries me lol and yea there is no way I would spend that kind of money heating a pond here lol I have been drawing up some plans for a huge and very, very well insulated plywood tank over the last couple of years and I worked it out that it should be as cheap if not slightly cheaper to heat than if it was indoors :D but i will build the 500 1st and see if I learn anything before I build the even bigger 1
