I am in the middle of building a stand to house a 75 gallon on top of a 55 then building a cabinet on the side to hold all my stuff and i want to put a 10 gallon on top of it bc i live in a one bedroom apt. Now and will b in a 2 bedroom at the end of the month with my wife and 10 month old daughter. So due to lack of room and nagging from the wife im trying to get as much stuff in one area as i can.

Now to the point of this post do u guys think the floor will hold iti will b on the first floor but there in a crawl space under the apt not sure if the beems will hold it due to the fact that it will b over 1100 lbs in one spot. What do u guys think???

My 220 is above a crawl space, and it is a 6x2 footprint. If you use a 4x1.5 footprint for the stand, and have a flat bottom as apposed to using 4 "legs" you should be fine putting it perpindicular to the floor joists

awsome, my frame is build allready with the flat bottom was going to put a 35 at the bottom but again trying to fit as much into one area as i can due to no room and alot of baseboard heat worst case is i go under and support the beams if i have too thanks for the post

You're welcome, and for further ease of worry, I also have a 55g sump under my 220 which actually holds 40(ish) more gallons of water
