Hi guys my delhezi took a beating from my albino quite a while ago. now that his nostrols are half grown back, I wonder about the fins. The fin are growing back but not like they used to. The entire edges are curled. It looks like a plate!! my question is as the fin grows will the fin grow back normally and flat??? I put melifix and salt. same with my bichirs split fins. will they join together?? As for the nostrol tubes do they grow half way and stop or do they grow completely back?? i need someone with experience not just a guess!!

Thanks

nostril should grow back to full. and so will the split fins. but u gotta tell us which fins is it. caudal pect or dorsal?

The split fin is the tail fin and the the pectoral fin is the one i'm wondering if it'll heal perfectly.

I've seen instances where fins don't grow back properly and they never recover, (mainly in angle fish). I've read of fish keepers trimming the fishes fins then adding treating the water of the tank with something to help them heal fast. I personally have not done this but had an angel and in several cases pearl gouramis that would get a little beat up, grow back the more delicate fins with bends or kinks...then they'd get another beating and grow them back straight.

IMO the pectoral fins are curved now as a result of unequal lengths in different parts of the fin. Do get a pic uploaded and more experienced bros will help u out here.
