I know SW rays eat various bottom creatures like crabs and snails but will my FW ray do the same? If so I have a HUGE supply of snails and if the ray will eat them it should be good. If not I dont want to risk a snail invasion of my tank! :nilly:

how about putting just one in to see what happens?

Well I would try that but IME one snail turns into billions!

you have a point...what kind of snails would you be using?

Stingray S-car-Go.. i dont see why they wouldnt if the ray is a good eater...:WHOA:

I had some 1" gold mystery snails in my 180 with a pair of histrix.

From time to time I would find an empty shell. Then I caught the predator. I watched my male histrix move the snail around, position it in front of his mouth and literally work the snail right out of the shell. Pulled it right out of there.
