Will silicone stick to blue barrels?

hey all

I am switching my 75 gallon tank full of k1 to a pair of blue barrels. I want to use a 3 inch pipe to connect the barrels.

Will silicone seal the pipe to the barrel? I would hate to buy 3 inch bulkheads. ( i need two. One between the barrels and one to ho back into the pond)

I wouldn't try to silicone them. I'd bite the bullet and do bulkheads, eliminate the problem before you have it. Might hurt your wallet now, but it might stop a potential failure in the future which would be a lot larger of a headache.

I've never personally used it, but I have heard good things about these and the reviews look pretty good on them. That price is definitely not the $20+ you'll pay for 3" bulkheads. Maybe someone that has used these before will chime in.

This is where I originally saw them being used. Pretty good looking, he used 2" though, but still would apply to 3".

Joey used them a bunch, and I have seen others. really they are the best option.
