will silver dollars eat java fern

i want to add some java fern but will my silver dollars eat it?

Try if you want but silver dollars should never be trusted around plants.

I've seen silver dollars in densly planted tanks, so its a game of guessing. I bet you would have more success if you had a ton of java fern though, because eventually the silver dollars would get bored of it and leave it alone.

A single plant would probably be decimated.

mine nibbled on it constantly, but it think if anything it promoted new growth, mine always had baby plantlets on it
