I am getting a bunch of tiny snails for my dwarf puffers but I need to know they are safe first. Anyone ? Help would be very much appreciated as I am leaving for them soon :)

Wild caught or not there's always a risk and I have no clue how you would quarantine them to make sure that they are safe. Some snails are very active breeders and you could end up with them all over your tank. But I guess that would be a good thing for your puffer.

puffers ;) got three dwarf puffers in a 15 gallon stepped up from the ten gallon. If the snails bred that would be awesome

In some of the stores out here, most of the tanks with African cichlids in them have lots of small snails that must have been spit out by the fish and they established themselves in the system.

I'd say yes, snails can introduce disease that can infect your fish
weak :( wish me luck. At least they were only in a planted tank no fish :)

i think the best way is to put the snails in a tank. and let me roam around for a few weeks, then take them all out. they should have laid eggs. then the eggs will hatch and the new snails shouldn't have parasites or whatever.

Honestly, this is just paranoia. Snails can serve as vectors of diseases that are passed on mammals especially humans wherein giant African land snails (GALS) are known to pass the meningitis disease however I don't believe it is a common occurrence for snails to pass on pathogens to fish. Take ich for example. Ich will eventually die after days of isolation of snails from fish. They don't rely on snails as hosts in order to survive. A quarantine of a week or two should be enough if you are still unconvinced.
