Will t5's grow anything on a 12" H tank?

I picked up a couple lights yesterday.

A 65w current CF, and a double t5 strip by coralife.

The CF fixture scares me because I've never had a high-light tank before. I have 2 hagen DIY CO2 systems, but I'm still trying to figure out the fert dosing thing.

So will normal t5's grow anything on a 12" high tank?

They will grow mid light plants and down.

Cool, thank you! I'm going to keep the 20g L low tech until I research dosing ferts and what not more, and understand it.
