We are going to pick up the Arowana and i didnt know if it will eat my tiger oscar? The Arowana is 2ft and my oscar is about 14in.

You should be fine...just don't forget to weigh down the top of the tank..on a permanant basis... arows jump... good luck and post pics of new guy..

I'm assuming it's a silver. 2 footers are usually silver or black. The Oscar should be fine.

yes a jar would be a bad choice....silver or black...you should be fine.;)

what arowana isit my 12" jard nearly killed an 8" oscar over night.

Should be fine. The Oscar at that size I think would be too robust for an Aro to gulp down. And Silver or Black Aros aren't aggressive...Jars on the other hand :grinno:

As previously stated, it should be ok if it's a silver or a black. If the Oscar has established dominance in the tank don't be surprised if it pushes the aro around for a while. Once it realizes it's not a threat it should get over it. Also, what size is the tank? That could make a huge difference.

Very true, tank size is definately a huge factor considering they are both territorial fish
;)

1. Its A 2500 gallon Pond outdoors.
2. Gar will not eat the oscar because we have about a 26-30in Gar in the pond.
3. It is a Sliver 2ft Aro that we are getting tomorrow.
4. I have pics of the Oscar and will be getting pics put up of the Gar and Aro.
