Will the fins grow back?

Hi, I am new to the forums. I just recently bought a senegal bichir, I felt so bad for him in the tank that he was in at the LFS. He was with a bunch of tiger barbs and they just kept nipping at his fins. I was wondering if his fins will ever grow back to normal? Is there anything I can do to aid this process?

they should grow back fine in most cases.. keep the water nice and clean, and add melafix ..
