I am buying a 150gallon 60x24x24 and want to stock it with a pair of Zebrina Pike Cichlids, 3 Red-Tailed Barracudas, 2 Longfin Tiger Oscars, 1 Red-Tailed Payara Hydrolycus tatauaia, 1 Horsehead catfish, 5 clown loaches, 1 Rhino pleco, and 1 Red-Stripe Geophagus. There will be an 80 gallon sump and high output pumps so the filtration will be very strong. It will also be aquascaped with vision breaks. Will I be overstocking? Will there be any problems? If I am what should I get rid of?
Thank You!

Nice stock list. Depending on their size if they’re small, juveniles you should be fine. Give a yr or so you will be overstock and your bio load will be overwhelming no doubt.

Its a matter of tank size and how much bio media you have in the sump, in a 300gal it would be easier to maintain water parameter with that bio load

Great stocking list but if you buy them all as juveniles i'd look on that set up as being nothing more than a short term grow out tank. You'll need plans in place to thin out your stock as they get bigger. As adults those fish would give my 360g a run for its money! You'll find a lot of members on here will say that that tank will only just be suitable enough, long term, for the pair of oscars, and even that's pushing it!

Don't fall into the trap of thinking that if you run big time filtration that it's OK to overstock. Filtration doesn't take out nitrate so loads of filtration isn't going to lessen the burden on you of carrying out huge regular water changes as they get bigger.

Also, vision breaks or not, as they grow i'm not sure how your aggression levels will be. I'm not familiar with all your stock so I can't comment on that potential issue.

Short term that will work but long term you’ll want 7’ if length. A lot of those fish are high energy and high output fish. After a certain point your filter won’t be able to cut it. It makes more sense to just buy a bigger tank than keep spending more on insane filtration when after a while no matter what the nitrate output will just be insane.

What should I get rid of then I want there to be at least some color like the Zebrina Pikes and teeth like with the Payara and Barracudas and I would also want the oscars and some type of cleanup crew. What fish do you think I should avoid.

Well most would be ok in the tank some payara, cuda, catfish need bigger tank imo. But you are seriously overstocked even without those. Some won't or may not work as growth rates vary greatly. Basically stuff is going to get eaten. Oscars will be 12" in a year, clowns will probably be eaten unless you are getting Giants already. If you are getting Giants then you can afford a much larger tank now and should skip the 150 grow out.
