i have a 4" dat and a 4" archer that i would like to put in with my 12" ornate bichir, what are the chances of them being eaten? i know there is always a chance, but i figured since the dat and archer are taller fish they might not be considered lunch. thanks in advance.

bichirs are night hunters

i got 15cm ornate and its stuck in a corner all day long, but I cought him in night action once, eating a half-sized siamese flying fox

other smaller fish disappeared too

they'll be a tasty snack unless you gorw them out in a seperate tank some -Anne

ive read somewhere that a lot of fish avoid eating the dats because of the spine they have. Fish are prolly scared of chokin on it or sumin. i dunno. I've seen video of like 4 inch dats with 12+ tankmates (other dats and arowana) and they leave him alone, even though he's bite size
