I have six, 1 and 1/2 inch gold severums that were in my 75 gal tank and decided they could use a bigger tank (for when there older) so i ordered a 135 gallon tank but it wont be here for 2 weeks (small town).... i dont have enough room for the 2 tanks so i was selling my 75.... it sold 3 days ago. so now my sevs are in a 10 gal. how long can they stay in there??? will they live 2 more weeks in there and an extra week or 2 for the new tank to cycle....a total of one month in the 10 gal.... are they going to survive there packed quarters??? any advice(or reassurance) would be great as i am really nervous :nilly:

They should be ok, just feed light and keep up on your water changes!!!

If you are really worried you could always put them in a large $10 plastic tub or bin from Wal-Mart.

Should be fine in the ten for that short of a time.

Get a large plastic tub from walmart, that way your filter can stay cycled, and you won't have to wait for 2 weeks to recycle the tank. That will be the easiest, and fastest route. Also, if you aren't adding any more fish, the filter currently running, can transfer, and will already be cycled. As there is no more need for beneficial bacteria than what is already in the filter.

we cant control your kids unless you put some P's in the tank but good luck!! lol

If you run a foam filter, you can keep the lid on the container, and that should help keep the kids in check. Just run an airline in through the lid.
