I've never had a ray and they look amazing. I have a small silver arowana a few senegal bichirs and want to get a clown knife. Is there any ray that could live with these fish in the long run. Will be in a 72"l x30"w x24"h with a fluval fx5 for a year or two until the fish outgrow it.

I would not trust the clown knife with rays.
As long as the Polys and the Aro aren't small enough for the ray to eat you should be ok though Miles' Reticulated ray took down an angel fish the same diameter as itself.
It's all at your own risk.
The tank size will be fine for a year. Make sure the water is kept clean and filtration is top.

I've got a clown knife with mine and is fine. It also leaves the newborn rays alone, but every fish is different.
might have to be careful with the clown knife.
again, every fish has its qwerks.
some might be fine, some might be a terror.
but i'd say your good to go with the aro and polys, unless they are really small or have a super bad attitude.
