will this affect my ph

hello my ma was at a garage sale and picked me up this tetra whisper filter for 30-60 gallons with a bunch of carbon filters for it for like $2.00. the thing was covered with all this white hard water junk so i soaked in a vinegar water mix and scrapped it all out but it still smells a wee bit vinegary do you think it might affect my ph?

doubtful. unless its a 0.5 gallon tank, you are dealing with minute amounts of calcium deposits left on there and trace amounts of the vinegar solution you cleaned it with.

should be fine.

heres the filter pretty clean but theres still some of the white stuff in it just a little under the thing that goes in it not the tube the actual waterfall part
