Ok It will be a 180 (6x2x2) Gallon Tank, Filtered by one Rena XP3 on each end of the tank (2 total) and one AC 110 in the middle,

In habitants will be

6-8 : Pictus Catfish
6-8 : Clown Loaches
1 : African Brown Knife
5-6 : Ctenolucius hujeta
1-2 : Upside Down Catfish
4-5 : Bala Sharks
2-4 : Clown Plecs
2-3 : Arican Butterfly Fish
1-2 : Ornate Bichir

1/4 The tank will be planted with Amazon Swords Java Ferns And Java Moss
2/4 of the tank will have driftwood
and 1/4 of the tank will have rock crevices and rock work!

Let me know what you guys think

Thanks, Honestly i think it would be a stunning tank,
If its not overstocked. it should be set up and running within two weeks!
the only concern i have.. is can the ornate bichir really get 20+ inches?
Or is that wild? and how big do they get in tanks..
I don't want it if it will end up eating any of my fish..
if you have experience with them please let me know,

thanks!

I wouldn't worry about the ornate eating your fish :) I would worry about the hujeta eating them first :D

The bichirs will get big and could eventually kill some tankmates..

Pictus Cats and Bala Sharks both get a foot or larger, that will be alot of big fish.

Butterfly Fish might eventually get gobbled up..

Juvenile sizes it is a do-able tank.. but long term it will be over-stocked, IMO.. You could eliminate a few fish to make it more viable.

Stocking levels depend on 2 variables; Water Changes and Aggression.. Aggression isn't as much your issue, as Water quality when those fish get full grown. Don't slack on water changes!

Good luck!

all Hujeta are already 7 inches, And Only eat pellet food.. and has been that way since i got them, I even have 3 neon tetra's "living" with them in there current tank.. the tetras were bagged accidently with other fish and i just said owell... and there still there... and could easily be a snack, so im not really worried about the hujetas.. since nothing else in the tank will be to small..

i may cut down the numbers by 1-2 in each catagory, but i know i want to keep all those species,

But i think i will give the bichir the boot, i don't want to risk anyone Exspecialy the butterfly fish.. and the hujeta's shape will definatly stop them from attempting to make a meal out of a 4 inch ABF

I figured adult size might put strain on the bio load,
But if i added more filtratation, and did my WC's..
would there still be a problem??

i figured it would be a heavier stock.. but nowhere near some of those japaneese tanks..

what if i ran the two XP3's One AC100 + a SUMP/WetDry?
