Will this do?

As far as I know discus are the most friendly fish. I don't think it will work.

i dont think it will work. the discuss are very docile with the dat would prolly chase them around to no end. unless this is a very large planted tank with lots of hiding

IMO and experience... discus and dats worked well for me. datnoids are actually pretty friendly fish when it comes to fish they know they cant eat. they dont bother the discus and usually discus show their cichlid side and become aggressive. i had my discus with my silver aro and jar and they held their ground faily good. i also had it with a flag tail proc. and the flag tail would always suck on the discus and my discus would fight back.

but i gave all my discus to my coworker and he is currently in the process of breeding them. they laid eggs, but no fry yet. so the discus are still fertile!

I beg to differ, my 15 inch widebar slams the SH1T out of my silver dollars and chases them around constantly. I see scales fly all the time. I wouldent do it just because when they get bigger they start getting more dominant.

not all are agrressive. got a 8" pbass punk the heck out of 14" widebar and the widebar never did a thing back. had to seperate the 2 after the widebar seemed way too stressed out.
