Live plants ! Will they help oxygenate the water and keep the fish alive ? I know all I have to worry about is max 24 hours MAX of no power where I am but still. General interest. I have a 180 gallon... pics..

I don't think the plants will do much for oxygenating your tank but heat loss would be my biggest fear in this situation.

Plants actually absorb oxygen during their 'dark' cycle. They only produce oxygen during photosynthesis. At night plants release waste products and carbon dioxide.

Yea! DID NOT KNOW THAT ! I allways thought they produced oxygen... Im not worried about heat loss, my house is warm plus I have over 100 candles beside my tank for some heat !

Well thank goodness for your sake for having so many candles on hand, hope you have a good lighter or a box full of matches lol.I don't have that much wax laying around unfortunately and if my tank heaters go off my fish are doomed.
