acrylic tank?

Whats going inside the tank are two Comet Goldfish. Just a temporary until I get to building that pond.

It was in the garage. Its a GF ( General Fireproofing brand made in USA )

Thanks for stopping by. :) Excuse me if I post this in the wrong area. New to posting.

I think you are safe. My first tank years ago was a 55 gallon and I had it on top of a cheap Wal-Mart entertainment center. You know, the ones made out of particle board and you have to assemble yourself. I had all kinds of electronics and a heavy 27'' Sony TV then the tank on top. I laugh about it now because It actually held up for 2 years. The stand you have looks really sturdy.

Thank you so much for your replies. I can finally relax without thinking about the whole thing falling apart.

Funny thing is I went to go measure it... the length of the table is 36 inches and the length of the 55 Gallon is 48 inches. 6 inches on each side hanging out to make things even. :P

Should I lay out some 48 inch + plywood on the table then the tank?

That's risky IMO with the uneven weight across the floor. I would not put the tank there like that. You have to remember the added weight from decorations as well if you set it up permanently.
