Will this hold?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
You should be fine just make sure to support as much of the tank as possible. You could also build a wooden frame for the tank to sit on.

way over built...

Each block can hold 800 pounds.

That stand could hold a minimum of 5000 pounds.

Your tank is only going to weight in at around 1200-1500 pounds....

I wouldnt worry about it what so ever. That stand has a higher safety factor than the actual tank does.

Thanks. Good to know. Fish are happy now I am too. Thanks.

Also sump instillation is coming soon to the left of the tank. Updates soon.

Ive used cinder blocks before in the same configuration for a 55 gal tank. As long as the cinder blocks are not cracked or crumbling , that design is sound. Cinder blocks are used in wall construction and hold up some pretty heavy weight roofs.

Hello; Check for true of the top sheet of plywood as it rests on the boards and blocks. I do not think that you want high or low spots of any significance. The flatter and truer, the better. Strength should be fine.
