So I have a 310 G tank with 2 rays in it. other inhabitants are an arowana, severum, and 4 oscars. It should be noted that the oscars and severum were 'rescues' in the sense that I didn't plan on them in the tank.
Issue is that the 2 of the oscars have developed HiH (hole in head). I have upped my water changes and I'm sitting at approx 50% every couple days. My nitrates are through the roof 200+ at last check. I've added 50lbs of media to help deal with that.
My question is: Can I salt the tank ?? I know from previous experience that will help the oscars but at the end of the day the rays are the focus of the tank and I'll unhappily sacrifice the oscars b4 I'll harm the rays.
