Will this injury heal?

Hi guys. I just got my armatus to calm down recently from all the rubbing against the tank glass. Now the the outcome is quite gruesome. My armatus rubbed flats it top tip of it's nose.
As all of you payara keeper know, all payara have a curved pointyish nose that is longer than the bottom part of the mouth. Now the top nose is now a bit blunt and it now a wee bit shorter than the bottom part of the mouth. The rubbed part used to white from all the rubbing but now after a week of salt, the rubbed part is a bit darkish.

Will the blunt nose ever grow back to normal? any experiences? medication?

It may not be exactly the same, but over the next few weeks it should heal up. I would recommend the basics; add some salt and if you suspect an infection add some melafix. I'd expect him to be good to go in about a month.
