I bought some natural coral sand, pure marine substrate, and I want to know if I can use that in my future convict tank. It isn't really sand, it's more like really small shells, you know? I just want to know if I can use that in my tank.
It is full of calcium and lime and will buffer your ph. It will retain a high ph due to the lime. If that is the enviroment they like as african cichlids do than it can be used. otherwise no.
