/will this setup work for my baby SAL

i really didnt want to get a whole new tank for this little guy so i made him a little home! now im just curious if the water is shallow enough? are the holes big enough to get proper water flow? should i give him a hiding spot? this is my first lung so im just getting a little nervous. he is only about 4 inches long.

That will work for quite some time; the SAL will probably end up hanging out on the plants when it rests.

You're going to want to put a lid on that to keep him from escaping.

I wouldn't be too worried about a lid. Just make sure your little one has plenty of space to breath

I remembered seeing that info on another thread in the media lounge:

It will take time. Once they hit 18-20" the growth slows down and become fast again at 26-32". Then slow down again. At 36-42" the growth speeds up again and then slows down at 46-50".

so I take it that means it has high growth rate up to 18"?
