picked up a 150 gallon for dirty cheep, and the stand is a little sketchy. The guy said the had it filled half way with no problems, I just wanna make sure that it will hold up my 150
EACH LEG IS 3 1/4”
THE TRIANGLE PARTS ARE 1/2” thick
Hello; This is my initial reaction as well. However that stand might be made safer by adding some more legs in the middle. I would also tie the legs together with some horizontal bracing as well.
It is not that the current 4x4 legs are not strong enough, they are. It is that unsupported span in the center that caught my attention. Those tringles will do some to prevent racking but more horizontal braces say four inches from the bottom of the legs will add strength and help avoid side to side racking. You also can have a lower shelf with some plywood sheeting.
