Is there anyway of making a sump and not having to drill a tank to use it. I don't know much about these sumps and exactly how they work. I've been using the search thing but just don't completely understand it all.:irked:

I understand that the pump will pump up the water to the tank, but how does it get back down to the sump then? I'm lost.:nilly:

do a search for DIY overflow. tons of people use these to get water down to the sump in a tank that isnt drilled.

there are also overflow boxes that are made. the CPR brand is the best out there

Yes. There are a couple of different overflow boxes available which use a siphon to move water from a chamber within the tank to a chamber on the outside of the tank. I would suggest that you contact www.lifereef.com. They seem to have a well thought out unit. Talk to the guys.
