Dacula, Ga
so i have a 75 gallon aquarium. i already have 2 banded leporinuses that are in the 3-4" area at the moment but once they go in the 75 im hoing they will start to grow more.

here is my question,

im looking into getting a bristlenose plecostomus to put in it with my 2 lepor's. would it be ok to put in a leopard ctenopomas with them? how many could i put in there?

Umm ive found headstanders to be very agressive and best suited to a cichlid community.

I think that they maybe too agressive for the bushfish.

:iagree:

sorry for the newb ? but what are headstanders?

I have noticed that Ctens are really peaceful fish and pry get picked on by the lepors. My ctens get picked on by my 2 firemouths all the time(I'm going to get rid of the firemouths) and their half the size of my ctens.

Part of the anostomid family. They are called headstanders due to the strange angle they employ by swimming with their heads downward. All are not appropriate for planted tanks.

lupin knows....

headstanders are known to be agressive and major fin-nippers. i have one 9" leporinus, three 2" spotted headstanders, and five 3" marbled headstanders. cool fish though

the spotted and marbled headstanders always swim at an angle IME, my leporinus doesnt.:D

also, weird bu my marbles school, but the spotteds hate eachother :screwy:
