Hey guys,tank is 125 g 72x18,plenty of filtration,will this work?
1 jag
1 V.synspilum
1 jd
1 salvini
1 nic
I'm open to suggestions. All fish will be starting at 4-4.5 ''.Thanks.

If you happen to end up with a 'mean' jag then it isn't likely to work as they can be highly territorial. A texas cichlid may be a nice addition.

Youd have a better chance of it all working if you started them all at 1.5-2 inches instead.

A 4-4.5 inch salvini is a bossy little thing compared to the rest...and can be quite violent. If you can, get the salvini smaller and you should be ok...unless, like the previous poster said, you get a mean jag. Then you might have problems...Id say the chances arent to high of that happening though, going from my experience. Ive had at least 8 and have had to re-home all but 1 of them because they were too passive/timid to defend themselves in my tanks with other cichlids. I never grew them larger than 8 inches though and it can change past that point.

Thanks n-e-w-land ,vrwc.I'm surprised to hear that about the jags,I would have thought the jag would be the most problematic fish for sure:D.
n-e-w-land ,when you say a texas would be a good addition,do you mean instead of the jag or add to the list?.

jags are just terratorial as long as the other fish stays out of his way they should be ok. id worry about the sal or one of the others messin with the sev edited. i thought i seen severum up there but guess not. i think it will work.

Well, you could add the Tex as well as the and Jag if they all tolerate each other then great, but if not then, you'll need to react quickly with a plan B.

I´d take the nic out and put a Red Tiger Motaguense instead.
What works at first might not work later, so keep an eye on those "little monsters"
