i recently saw an ad for a 240cm by 60cm wide by 80cm high tank,
the thickness of the glass is only 10mm thick, and that includes base and sides, i was told as long as you have a 20mm piece of foam it will be ok,
it also apparently has no base bracing if thats ok.

whats the likely-hood of it blowing up, or bowing

I guess it depends on the type of glass. Is it tempered?

thanks for replying,
sorry for the late reply.
It was one ebay so i missed out, i now got the oppurtunity to get a 8x3x3 530gal i think,
the glass is reinforced glass, and he said it was 3inch thick lol, i have to check think it was a typo
