So I turned my 75g into an attempted planted tank. I had this idea, I kinda used JK47's idea with the plastic canvas, but I think it should work. My plan was to put a 1/2 inch layer of substrate from seachem, and then put a layer all the way across that layer of plastic canvas on top of that, and then put another 1 1/2 inch of substrate pro on top of that. Then top it all of with regular gravel. Then to plant the plants into the top layer so that the roots go into the layer of substrate, and then run into the layer of plastic canvas and attach roots to that and then into the final layer of substrate. I'm not sure how this is going to work, but I would like to hear other peoples thoughts on it. I will get some tank shots tomorrow if you all would like to see, but this is kind of a visualization of what I did. Sorry for the bad quality.
