I hought some scouring pads from the doller store awhile back and im not sure if they have any chemicals or anything on them i was wondering if theres any way to get them tank safe. Im wanting to use them as filters in my over the back filters

I took one of my acei babys and put it in a cup with one of the pads i was wondering if theres anything on the pads that would harm the fish how long would it take

Give it a week if nothing happens you are good lol make sure the fish doesn't try and tear the pad up or rub against it and mess with its slime coating
