I currently pulled all my resources together,
sold a cpl of my tanks and now i have my 180 gallon.
Which houses my 11" rtc. My questin is, i gave away my
mated dovii pair to a friend, and he just wants to
keep the female, and give me back the male.
He is currently approx 14". Will the rtc be ok with the male dovii?

Only way to know for sure is to try but the rtc is gonna outgrow your 180 pretty quick and that tank is pretty borderline for keeping an adult male Dovii by itself. Has the male dovii been kept with other fish beside the female before? Still a better chance than trying him with other cichlids at least.

I really hope you aren't planning on keeping the rtc in that tank for very long
