Will this work? A pumpkinseed, a redbreast, and a redeye bass in a 55 gallon. Maybe also another sunfish or is this good.

With those three you will probably be overstocked...with just two you will run in to aggression issues....I would just pick one.

Redbreast sunfish is quite aggressive sunfish that's for sure!

Well the redbreast is 3" right now and gets along with similar sized largemouths.

An the worst part is I already have all those fish. So I can get rid of them.

How about just the bass and the redbreast?

.....let the fish decide which one is stay and which one is going. But the redbreast is ticking time bomb when he becomes a little mature.

Adult sunfish start feeling overcrowded in a 55g because of the poor depth front to back.

Your bass isn't ok in a 55 at all, and sunfish would start to fight because they feel too confined.

You generally don't want to ever do just two sunfish in anything, and in a 55g I wouldn't recommend more than one, other than for the very small species.
