obviously the inlet will be regulated, i was going to siphon it from the tank in my loft?? do you think theres a high risk of the outlet getting blocked or not? are there any electric float cut off vlaves that i could work to a 6mm pipe?

Anyone? Is that the basic principle?

this will work right?? just ordered all the bits but with a 20mm pipe instead of 25mm.... im planning on running the inlet from a tank in my loft siphoning with a tap to control the flow, also made the pipe inside now 11mm outside diameter. will be closing of the bottom of the internal pipe and drilling holes to feed it just below water level.

should be fine right? a friend says he has a level stop tap i could use on the inlet aswell to stop the level raising to high if the outlet blocks up.

would i need to periodically add tap safe or would i be ok? planning on changing out 25 gallon per day?

must be some off you running drips? have i missed anything? i will turn it upside down under water to prime the small internal pipe...

I don't run either, but I'd put something like this-

over the drain and cover it with a fine mesh or filter bag to prevent clogging.

yeah i was planning on something similar, my friend is bringing me a mini ball cock stop into work tomorrow so the inlet will stop if the worse happens and i get a blockage. i will post some pics here when its up and running... part of me feels i will miss my routine of weekly water changes but im sure the fish will be happier...

would anyone suggest adding tap safe daily?? bearing in mind up until last year i never used tapsafe and my tap water is pretty good!? no cloramine used here just clorine...
im planning on one gallon an hour in the 296 of summit gallon.

Just waiting for the float now!-) there is a sediment filter there and the big cylinder gets filled with carbon and takes the clorine out.

I was planning on one gallon per hour this will equate to my weekly water change. After reading that link though im wondering whether to do more?
