Windows 7 (Release Client 7100)

Anyone using the 7100 version of Windows 7?

I just started using it yesterday. My overall impressions are very good.

It has a few new integrations in the UI that I like alot. Peek and shake are kinda neet too.

Dx11 is not compatable with most games. But runs everything I have on Dx10 and Dx9 modes.

It installed all of my drivers for me on initial install-setup. (I chose to update a few myself.. but the fact that after the 15 min install was over the computer was 100% operational was great!).

It seems liek vista was a paid beta and this is a glimpse of the final product. Its a shame that vista was actually passed of as a "completed operating system".

Things are looking good for Microsof and Windows 7, in my opinion.

I use build 7000 for a while now and I love it. Much faster and smoother working than vista that came originally with my laptop.

I am a firm beleiver of XP > Vista.

And have clutched onto my copy of xp until yesterday.

I am satisfied with W-7 honestly.

From one nerd to another.

i hope windows 7 is the saviour its been made out to be. got a new pc last weekend and i conclude that xp is far superior to vista home premium 64bit even if it is years older than it.

I just got a DVD of it- going to register and load it tonight. Guy at work running it loves it. May have to give up XP finally.

Got an Idle screen shot with dx diagnostic tool up. Page file 1007mb used of 5131 mb.

It can be installed on a seperate partition in your hard drive if you made one previously. An you can manually navigate to the files located in the alternate Windows directory. Otherwise you will need to backup all of your files to an external storage device and reinstall them.

Windows 7 will wipe your hard drive or partition of hard drive clean.

thats alot still. xp on mine uses about 378 out of 3800ish. vista used about 800ish
