Wisdom teeth stories. Mine HURT!

Well im 15 and a couple months ago my wisdom teeth started slowly coming in. Not the one on the left makes me feel like i have strep throat in that area and like i got punched in the face. I cant chew, so i barely eat anything. And im alway pissy lol. I need them taken out but my appointment is october 9th (and im going to NYC on oct 13th)

You guys have any stories about your wisdom- aka pain in the *** teeth?

You could have an infection, and if so, you could become very very sick. You should see a dentist. There is always some discomfort when a tooth erupts. The gingiva (gum tissue) does not magically open up and the tooth erupts. The tooth literally chews its way through the gum tissue, so it can be very uncomfortable. If the area is not kept really clean, the tissue can get infected. What you have described sounds more than just erupting tooth discomfort. If you do have an infection, you will need antibiotics, and the tooth will need to be extracted sooner rather than later. You need to see your dentist ASAP if your condition does not improve or if it worsens.
 
I've got my teeth in a bag haha it hurt looked like a chip munk for a few days but no big deal.

I had my wisdom tooth (all 4) taken out in PA too. Most places don't have regular surgeon so the wait is long (2 months for me). Pain for few days but they will give you pain killer. Your cheeks will puff up like a puffer fish lol. Try to avoid solids and any food that may get stuck. I had mostly soup.

Before the surgery my mouth couldn't open wide as it usually does and it always feel like lockjaw.
 
the meds will numb it totally but the sounds are very real... mine were impacted and broken apart before bwing rwmoved and ill remwber that sound till i die. o ya and dont smoke after or suck hard on anything or u can end up with dry sockets which are no fun
 
Mine came through a few years ago. Not alot of pain but they did itch the dentist told me that I don't need them out so mine are still in my mouth.
 
I've got all four of mine still at age 41. It's what makes me so wise....
