I live less then three miles from the beautiful white sandy beaches of the Gulf of Mexico yet we are getting hammered right now with a winter storm. About a 1/4" of ice is already built up with more ice and snow on the way. I have no generator and no fireplace and people are already losing power. I have three armatus that would be hard for me to replace. Wish me luck!

Im sure all will be well

I was watching the weather forecast last night and they touched on the expected conditions in that area..Hope all turns out well.

Problem is, our pine trees are soft and snap easy under load, not like trees up north that are built to hold the weight of ice and snow. When limbs start snapping thats when the power will go out. They are already sagging and power is now flickering randomly.

I have three 7-10" armatus in a 29 gallon tank, if power goes out the water volume is too small to be stable for long.

You'll have to monitor it and do round the clock partial water changes if the power goes out.

Probably too late to buy an inverter? You can get quite a bit of power from a deep-cell battery, or even just running your car every so often.

good luck I hope everthing is ok

If possible I would try to get some kind of back up battery supply like a generator or something smaller but be ready during the night to monitor if and do changes if the power does go. Good luck hope everything goes well.
