As of yesterday I am the proud owner of three glyptothorax lampris or in the common tongue, Hillstream Torrent Catfish. They are small and thin so I hope I can get them chubby pretty quick. I plan to start with frozen blood worms and adult brine shrimp. I also have Rapashy but don`t know how they will receive that. Tank mates are Hillstream trout, clown barbs and mascara barbs along with five Sumo loaches, so I will be feeding the cats after lights out. If you have experience with this fish feel free to offer advice because I am open to it. I`m not much for posting pics but will try to get some.

Hey, mate! I hope to be wrong but chances are low you'll find fellow keepers here. Even the genus keepers are probably a handful on MFK, even less of the active ones. Hate to see a thread on rare catfish without feedback :) I know people who do keep the genus and are active on Planet Catfish though.

Interesting looking species. They look to be of similar construction as goonch cats which prefer rapid currents. Looking forward to progress pics on this species. Good luck.

I cruse around Planet catfish but have not joined yet. Mostly because I tend to favor loaches, a little. It`s the hours they keep as opposed to most catfish.

Oddball, I thought the same thing when I first laid eyes on them. They look like micro-goonch! Mine ate last night which I was worried about because they were so thin. Blasted clown barbs and barilius feed and night! Makes it hard to get food to the catfish because they are crazy fast piggies when it comes to food and the glyptothorax are not.
