So I was looking for stand for my 30gal at some lfs today and the last two I went to just so happen to have HELP WANTED signs... this made me rather HAPPY. At the first place I went I knew one of the guys that worked there and he know I know my fish and I love my Africans... well ne who the owner happened to be there so I grabbed an app. and my buddy told me to come in on monday, then the owner chased me down as I was leaving and talked with me and stuff, pretty cool... he said I reminded him of him "35 years ago" lol then he was like I wanted to work with fish also, and look now, I am doing it. I was like yup cool., and then we talked and talked caught me off guard on some fish questions :eek: but in all pretty nice guy. I am hoping he talks to my buddy so I can get a job there. I mean really how cool wouuld that be finally work in a lfs... so WISH ME LUCK I really really want this job. I am going against 3 other people for it! The other one I just turned in the app. b/c no manager was there, but then agian I know them to. haha. O__o I still so mad at myself for blanking out on my fish though so I hope that doesnt seem bad :wall:

Yup so I just thought that was neat (and no I didnt wear a red dress as suggested in another post haha :ROFL: ) so yah I decided to ramble about it here.

That's awesome... My 1st job was at a LFS many years ago. I was 12yrs old at the time, so I got paid under the table. Times were a bit different back in the '80s (no one ever sweat the owner or me about it). It was a small hole in the wall mom and pop shop, but they still got some cool fish like Arapiamas, Aros, CKs, etc... I enjoyed it and learned lots, plus it payed for my hobby and then some. I worked there for 3yrs before deciding to call it quits to enjoy a full summer break.
