Right now in my 10g tank I have 2 three spot gouramis, 2 corys and a slender buffalo head(steatocranus tinanti). This weekend I am going to turn the gouramis into the lfs on the way to visit my grandma, on the way back I plan on picking up a couple corys. I was wondering in I could keep dwarf frogs with them also, would the corys and slender buffalo head steal the frogs' food? or vice versa? Or would they end up fighting? Has anyone ever had experience with keeping them together?

Never kept the Steatocranus tinanti so I'll let others comment on it. Cories don't steal foods. They should be fine and will hardly compete the frogs for foods at all.

ok thanks!

i had frogs in my tank for ages, andf they were fine , till the eartheater got too big and ate them

Ok, thanks a lot! I'm thinking that the corys and frogs would be a nice little community living together in there alone no?

Like I said, ADF's and cories should be fine. They don't compete for foods so they really shouldn't be a problem together.

The Steatocranus will outcompete the frogs, so I wouldn't mix them. ADF are downright passive when it comes to looking for food. Usually need to be target fed.

well u see the night before I traded in the gouramis their last victim was he steatocranus tinanti, so no longer a problem...sadly...how do you "target feed", you mean with like an eye dropper?

i have an african dwarf frog with my 4 large albino corys, they get along fine, the frog actually lays ontop of them sometimes, and they don't seem to mind. he usually just eats off the bottom or scoots about when i drop in food, but i'm pretty sure the steatocranus tinanti are relatively aggressive, never had one, but Ive heard they not one for use in a community tank
