With bichirs?

Are pike cichlids compatible with bichirs?

As long as the pike will not fit in the Bichir's mouth or the bichir in the pike's mouth you should be fine. I have 9 pikes and 12 Bichirs in a 185 and they pretty much just ignore each other. They are all growing so it may change in time.

even though they have similar body shapes, they usually get along better (at least in my limited experience) than crens do with other crens and other cichlids.

Sure mine are doing fine together and usually do only problem is the like pretty different water params other then that totally fine together

I had a pike eat my bicher. The bicher was way bigger than the pike too. Took a long time for the pike to get the bicher down but he did it. Good luck

feeding can be tough since the pikes move faster and seem to never stop. yet, never seen any squabbles or deaths.
