the tank is 4ft by 2 ft by 2 ft,oscars are about 7 cm.i have one small and one large plant container in the tank, light covering of pebbles on the tank floor and have 2 eel tail catfish @ 11 cm and a common pleco @ 20 cm.PH is roughly around 7.0 - 7.2. i have a aqua one CF 2200 filter and pump with airstones across the back of the tank,so plenty of filteration.the tank capacity is around 430 litres.

Do you have the scientific name of the "eel catfish"? It narrows it down a lot. The tank is basically 120g with. Maybe with one oscar and a few dithers and so on. The tank is a great oscar tank size, the width is very attractive for oscar tanks. Enjoy!

the sci name of the catfish is tandanus tandanusa, native aust freashwater catfish.what would make good dithers with an oscar?

yeh,but they take a while to grow, the type i have can reach 90 cm but rearely heard of in aquariums,in aquariums, they can reach roughly 50cm.great fish for keeping the floor of the tank clean, they eat any uneaten food by top feeders, and they even come to the top and eat bloodworms out of my hand.

I would add, if anything, a tankmate, not another oscar, since your current one might not get along with a newly introduced conspecific
