As I turned on the hall light I heard a funny sound coming from my living room. I walked to the top of the staircase and my first thought was holy **** I had alot of water evaporation over the night, then I woke up and realized my 29 gallon tank was about 5 to 7 gallons lower than when I went to bed. I ran down to the basement and grabbed a small tank and a siphon and began draining the tank as quickly as possible. Luckily it was only about a third of the way down and the leaking stopped. I figure I must have comprimised the sealant yesterday when I did a water change. Now I have to set up a differant tank.

Damn that really sucks, hope it can be fixed. That would be a nightmare if the tank were any bigger.

i had a 30 gal spring a leak and soaked my living room .. only had 3 gal left in it when i found it .. then i got a 50 to replace it .. now the 50 sits on the floor empty because its to small.. you have to start somewhere .. give the guy a chance .. and dont be a prick about it

Hopefully by the end of summer I will have a 150 set up. For now the fish are going to get a bump up to a 55 so I better get going.

Not what I want to hear that early in the AM, and before work...I don't care if it is 1 gallon...
ANY water, when it's where it's not supposed to be, is a PITA!!

OP sorry for the leak man...

and of course it IS a great reason to upgrade and turn that 29g into a hospital/quarantine tank, after you reseal it...
