Woke up this morning

Bummed out my ocell passed away..

I can't figure out what cause it to pass away. My water parameter is good ,temp is at 86-88 F and eating normally with the rest. What I noticed yesterday he was heavily breathing more then the rest and hiding, seems stressed. He looked healthy.

Out of the 3 one out grew the other 2 and started picking on them. Could that be the cause of his death?

i had kind of the same problem with my mangrove jack a couple months ago.
turns out that when they start to breath heavier there could be too much ammonia in the water, strange? im not sure. it took two days before he passed away. it looked almost like he was struggling to breathe, chocking almost...?

just putting it out there.

Gill flukes can cause heavy breathing. Could have been stressed too. Very odd.
