do males grow fast.i have my 9 inch male in a 75 for the next to months until i get my 150 set up.how many water changes would u recomend weekely.i usually do one every two weeks.

1 water change a week should be fine as long as you have adequate filtration, and don't over feed. Are there any tank mates? IMHO

I'm pretty sure 1 per week will be fine. Just plan on that and play it by ear. I f the water starts looking cloudy or the fish act funny then you made need more. Also add an airstone.

males grow at a quick rate, i have seen 1" a month when small, i'd bump your water changes to 40% 2x a week, if you want it to grow fast.

It might grow a bit slower than it would as a juvi now.
