Wolf Eel, Anarrhichthys ocellatus?

Does/has any ever kept a Wolf Eel (Anarrhichthys ocellatus), the ones from the pacific ocean. Is it possible to get one? They are quite common over here in California.

yes, you can get one if you can find someone crazy enough to go after one. they are mean mean mean!!! My associate kept one for a little while but it was waay too much.

keep in mind they require cold water conditions.

I had a wolf eel when I was younger. Amazing creature that was a wicked fast hunter that rarely missed feeder fish. As the previous poster said there agressive as all get out. Id say get one if you can house it and give it a good varied meaty diet. I enojyed mine greatly sadly a family member tried to "help" me maintain my tank when i wasnt around and managed to crash the tank.
